There are 7 common styles or types of hearing aids. Listed below is a brief description of each. Each style has its pros and cons. Our Audiologists will determine the best style for you depending on your own unique situation.
Completely In-the-Canal (CIC)

– Molded to fit deeply within the ear canal
– Smallest, least visible type of hearing device
– Placement within the ear cuts down on wind noise
– For mild to moderate hearing loss
In-the-Canal (ITC)

– Fits in the ear canal
– Barely visible
– Smallest size available with directional technology to hear better in noise
– For adults with mild to moderate severe hearing loss
Half Shell In-the-Ear

– Fits directly into external ear
– Inserted and adjusted with ease
– For people with mild to severe hearing loss
Full Shell In-the-Ear 

– Fits directly into external ear
– Inserted and adjusted with ease
– For people with mild to severe hearing loss
Receiver-In-the-Ear

– Leaves the ear open
– Reduced or no "plugged-up" feeling
– For mild to severe hearing loss
Mini Behind-the-Ear

– Smaller than standard behind-the-ear hearing devices
– Leaves the ear open
– For mild to severe hearing loss
Standard Behind-the-Ear

– Fits behind the ear
– Custom earpiece is molded to fit your outer ear
– Appropriate for almost all types of hearingloss
– Appropriate for people of all ages
