Our Staff

One of the many differences you'll find here at Stanford Hearing Aids is our educated staff. Whether you work with Gary, Kris, Stephanie or Ann, rest assured they have the education and experience necessary to make the correct recommendations. The office has been here since 1962 and has been owned and operated by the Stanford Family for over 25 years.

Whatever your hearing situation is, we have the knowledgable personnel to get you on the right track. Combine decades of experience with Masters and Doctorate degrees and you have the right place to get your hearing solution.

Gary Stanford, M.S., Audiologist

I was born, raised and educated in the Dakotas. After attending Washington High in Sioux Falls, I went on to receive my Bachelors of Science at Augustana College, and my Masters degree in audiology at Minot State in North Dakota.

In 1983, with the help and support of my wife, Donna, and children, Lorie and David, we moved back to our hometown of Sioux Falls and bought the "John Roland Hearing and Optical" business. A business that started in 1962. We are still located on 14th Street and Dakota Avenue but are now known as Stanford Hearing Aids.

Kris Klingenberg, National Board Certified-HIS

Though born and raised in Southwestern Minnesota, I have lived in South Dakota for over 30 years. I worked for Roland Hearing Aid and Optical for several years prior to joining Gary in 1983. I became licensed for hearing aid dispensing in 1983 and earned National Board Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences in 1994. I am committed to helping people experience better hearing!

In my free time, I enjoy country living and spending time with family (husband Ron, son, daughter and son-in-law), reading, listening to music and volunteering.

Stephanie Wubben, AuD, CCC-A

I am dedicated to improving the quality of your life through better hearing. I received my Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and my Doctorate in Audiology from the University of South Dakota. I am South Dakota licensed and board certified through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

I enjoy participating in activities and groups with my church and take pleasure in giving time to various philanthropic events.

Ann Narum, HIS

I was born and raised in Mitchell, SD. After high school, I attended the University of South Dakota where I majored in business. In 2002, I began working as an apprentice for a Doctor of Audiology for a year. This gave me the knowledge and experience I needed to pass the State exam and practicum and was licensed as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Since becoming licensed, I have worked closely with patients and their hearing instrument needs. I worked in the Mitchell clinic and outreach facilities for 7 years before moving to Sioux Falls in 2009 and joining Stanford Hearing Aids.
